Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Marian Catholic High School will hold an Open House on Wednesday, October 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The event, open to the public, is especially intended for prospective 7th and 8th-grade students and parents who are considering choosing Marian Catholic for their children’s education.

Administrators, faculty, staff, and students will be on hand to provide information about Marian Catholic’s college preparatory curriculum including 44 honors and AP classes, award-winning fine arts and athletic programs, and over 40 clubs and activities. Students and faculty will lead guided tours including visits to the M. Paul McCaughey, OP Leadership Center, engineering lab, broadcast studio, Croarkin Theater, chapel, and Benish College Resource Center.

“We’re excited to offer this opportunity for 7th and 8th-grade students and their families,” stated Sean Mele, Co-Director of Admissions. “Open House gives us the chance to showcase all we have to offer, from academics to athletics and everything else in between. Families will be able to have their questions answered, as well as talk with administrators, teachers, coaches, and current students.”

Marian Catholic is accredited by AdvancED and the Illinois State Board of Education. Members of the class of 2019 earned $23 million dollars in scholarships. They currently attend 98 different colleges in 25 different states and the District of Columbia including Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Notre Dame, Georgetown University, Northwestern, and Boston College.
