Unaware? Trump and Pence Were Aware of Flynn's Foreign Lobbying. They Simply Lied About It

So, remember way back to a couple of hours ago when we were marveling over Mike Pence’s ability to ignore a letter from a congressman about how Michael Flynn was a foreign agent? And noting that both Donald Trump and Pence’s had somehow failed to read the numerous articles about how Flynn was a foreign agent? And wondering how, despite all his vetting talk, Trump remained “unaware” that the man he was selecting for National Security Advisor was a foreign agent. Remember that?

Good times.

But as it turns out, Flynn really was vetted. It’s just that he failed.

They knew Michael Flynn was a foreign agent. They just ignored it and made him National Security Advisor anyway without having him register as a foreign agent. Perhaps because extending the title to National Security Advisor and Registered Foreign Agent would make it hard to fit on a business card. Then Trump and Pence lied about ignoring it and pretended to be idiots.

Which is really the one area where Trump’s team never needs to lie.
