Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Pajama Day kicked off Marian Catholic High School’s Spirit Week Monday, as special days led up to Friday’s Homecoming football game, Saturday’s dance, and weekend class reunions.

On Tuesday, each class dressed according to a specific decade; freshmen 60’s, sophomores 70’s, juniors 90’s and seniors 80’s. The faculty and staff participated by wearing their college t-shirts and sweatshirts. Wednesday brought “Super Hero Day” with students dressing as the hero of their choice. Dozens of Superman, Spiderman, Batman characters were spotted as well as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and even Quail Man from the cartoon “Doug.” Thursday was Class Color day with freshmen wearing purple, sophomores wearing blue, juniors in red, and seniors in pink or tie-dye. Faculty and staff joined in by wearing the traditional Dominican colors of black and white.

Friday’s Spirit Day led to an all school pep assembly where the Marian Cheerleaders and the Marching Spartans pumped up the crowd for the Homecoming football game against Notre Dame High School.

On Saturday, students enjoyed the traditional Homecoming Dance, while the classes of 1975, 1980, 1985 and 2000 celebrated their class reunions in the Sr. M. Paul McCaughey, O.P. Leadership Center.
