Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Park Forest-Chicago Heights School District 163 will offer Adult Technology Literacy evening classes for the community during March, April and May. Coordinated by Stephanie Lloyd, Algonquin Primary Center principal, and Susan Hoffer, assistant to the IT manager and technology curriculum specialist, the classes focus on Microsoft Office products and skills that would benefit people in their employment or in the search for a new job. The classes, which provide a variety of experiences, include Microsoft Word 2007 (integrates resume writing, keyboarding skills, and online job searches), Introduction to Personal Computing, Using the Internet and Google, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.
There would be two sessions of classes meeting at Forest Trail Middle School, 215 Wilson Street, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The dates for the first session are March 16, 18, 23, 25, and April 8. The second session dates are April 20, 22, 27, 29, and May 4. Childcare will be available during both sessions.
