Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—March 15, 2015. Discover how to create a welcoming nesting space for wrens and other cavity nesters in your own backyard on Sunday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at the Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Boulevard. You will build a birdhouse from a dried gourd, and once spring arrives, you can watch the wrens and other birds find their way to your gourd birdhouse.
Internationally-known artist Pat Moore, an instructor at the Tall Grass Arts Association that serves all of the South Suburbs, will help you create a natural style birdhouse from a gourd. You’ll learn how to prepare and paint a gourd birdhouse. This workshop is for all ages. Children under age 6 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials are provided. Registration is required.
