Temperatures, Humidity to Soar in Chicago

Chicago, IL-(ENEWSPF)- AccuWeather.com reports after much of August yielded below-normal temperatures in Chicago, the city is about to get hot.

The mercury will soar to the low 90s Tuesday afternoon, but high humidity will make for RealFeel temperatures of over 100 degrees.

A weak cold front and risk for thunderstorms Tuesday night will lead to some relief through the end of the workweek. Humidity will ease Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and highs will place in the mid- to upper 90s.

This is the hottest it has been in a long time for the city, which is recording a relatively mild summer. At Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, temperatures have only hit 90 degrees once thus far in August.

From Aug. 1 through 26, the city has averaged 1.5 degrees below normal.

Temperatures will remain warm through Labor Day weekend, reaching the upper 80s through the low 90s.
