Police: Juvenile’s Cell Phone Stolen At Gunpoint


Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Park Forest Police are investigating the armed robbery of a juvenile who reportedly had his HTC Wildfire cell phone stolen at gunpoint last Sunday evening near Forest Trail Middle School.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Wilson Street on January 12 at 7:46 PM to investigate an armed robbery complaint. The victim told them that he walked to Forest Trail Middle School to attend an open gym. As he walked past the modular office located on the southeast side of the parking lot, he told police he was approached by three black male subject armed with guns. The first suspect was described as 18 to 20 years of age, 6’1″, 150 pounds, with dreadlocks, wearing a black winter coat, black winter hat, and armed with a silver revolver handgun. The second man was described as 18 to 20 years of age, 5’10”, 150 pounds, wearing black clothing, a black winter hat, and armed with a sawed-off shotgun. The third suspect is described as 18 to 20 years of age, 5’10”, 200 pounds, wearing black clothing and a black winter hat.

The three subjects ordered the juvenile to the ground. The juvenile complied and laid on his stomach, according to police. The subjects then advised the juvenile to “not move.” The juvenile remained on the ground with his eyes closed and hands clenched behind his head until he realized the subjects were gone.

Police are investigating.
