Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- This is another in a series of stellar students from "The Class of 2014" at Rich East High School in Park Forest, Ill. Today’s student is Zachary Abbott.
Meet Zach Abbott:
Are you a Park Forest Resident? How long? At Rich East all four years? Yes, I have been a Park Forest resident for nearly my whole life. And, yes, I have been at Rich East all four years.
What do you like most about Rich East? Is there anything you would have done differently? I like the atmosphere and my friends and the drive in all they do.
Activities/Athletics participated in? Special awards? Hobbies? Community/church volunteering?Key Club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Scholastic Bowl; Presidential Scholar Nominee; Outstanding Student Award, Straight A’s; Computer building and writing video games and football with my friends. I also volunteer at church when needed.
GPA/Class Rank: My GPA is a 4.4, and I am ranked 1st out of 168 in my senior class.
ACT: My ACT score was a 30.
Teacher{s} and/or coaches who have most inspired you: Mrs. (Carmen) Pierce and Mr. (Mark) Adamczyk.
Areas met/exceeded in PSAE/AP Exams: I met in all areas of the PSAE. I earned a ‘5’ in the AP United States History Exam and a ‘4’ in the AP American Literature Exam.
College choice/major: I will be attending Bradley University and will major in video game design..
What music is replaying on your ipod, mpg3, or phone these days? Skillet, Eminem, Eric Church.
Favorite TV Shows/Books? Dr. Who, Percy Jackson Series and The Dispossessed.
Favorite foods?Pizza, Athens Gyros, home-made food.
Places that you’d most like to visit?I The Vatican, Italy, Africa (Egypt and Nigeria).
Where do you want to be in five years? In ten years? In five years, I will be graduating from college. In 10 years, taking down video companies in a corporate take-over of the video game industry. such as EA (Electronic Arts), Ebisoft and Activision. I would like to play a positive part, with my superior products, that will greatly affect our youth, in the fastest-growing media industry.
