Marian Catholic High School Hits The Links And Courts To Raise Funds For Student Scholarships

Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Marian Catholic High School will be hosting the 24th Annual Endowment Golf Classic at Olympia Fields Country Club onSeptember 16, to generate income for the Endowment Classic Scholarship Fund of Marian Catholic High School. The income from this fund provides need-based scholarships for students who would not otherwise be able to attend Marian Catholic. 

New this year, the Endowment Classic will feature the opportunity for tennis players to play on Olympia Field’s Har-Tru (clay) courts. Tennis players are invited and encouraged to join golfers at the EGC Dinner. The $125 fee for tennis and dinner includes snacks and beverages throughout the day. Singles and doubles are welcome; play begins at 2:00 p.m.

“As a Marian Catholic alum, I am honored to help with an event that provides tuition assistance to deserving current and future Spartans,” explains Janice Coleman ’78, EGC Tennis Chair.  “At Marian I received an excellent education and foundation for my future. The Endowment Classic is a wonderful opportunity for tennis enthusiasts to play on Har-Tru clay. We hope to see a large tennis turnout to make this event a fun day on the courts.”

Established in 1989, the Endowment Classic Scholarship Fund plays a vital role in providing for the future of Marian Catholic High School. The goal of this long-term investment is to fortify the Dominican teaching mission to educate Marian Catholic Scholars with a Soul well into the new millennium.
