South Holland, IL-(ENEWSPF)- South Suburban College Baseball Program freshman outfielder Stephen Letz (Lake Central High School) was selected as a 1st Team All-American by the Division I National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Letz performed among the top outfielders in the nation all season finishing with a .426 batting average, 11 home runs and 69 RBI. He was also named the top player in Region-IV and was Most Valuable Player of the Regional Tournament.

"Stephen deserves every award he received this year,” said Head Coach Steve Ruzich. “He has worked extremely hard and his numbers speak for themselves.”

Letz is the 14th All-American that Ruzich has coached, but only the second player to be named to the 1st Team. He will return to the Bulldogs for his sophomore season.

Letz will also be among the SSC players helping Coach Ruzich host the 2013 Bulldog Baseball Camp.
