Director/Producer Mercedes Kane to discuss film following the screening

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—August 8, 2013. The Unitarian Universalist Community Church (UUCC), 70 Sycamore Drive, Park Forest, will host a screening of the documentary film ‘Today We Saw the Face of God’ on Saturday, August 24.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with an optional vegetarian pot luck dinner.

At 7 p.m., ‘Today We Saw the Face of God’ will be shown. This film takes a surprisingly hopeful look into the power of human connection in the face of unimaginable suffering, as seen through the eyes of medical mission volunteers in Haiti at the time of tragedy during the earthquake in January 2010.

A discussion will follow the film featuring Director/Producer Mercedes Kane.

The event is free and open to the public. Coffee and tea will be provided. Bring a vegetarian pot luck dish or snack to share. Optional donations are welcome.
