Park Forest, IL—(ENWSPF)—September 2, 2011. On Saturday, September 3, 2011, ONLY, special open hours at the 1950s Park Forest House Museum will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This weekend marks the kick-off of Fall 2011 open hours, with the Park Forest Historical Society increasing hours to six each week from September through November.
The museum is located at 141 Forest Blvd, at the corner of Forest and Fir.
Convenient parking is now available on the street.
The regular hours, beginning with September 7 will be, Wednesday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Group tours can be arranged for other times by appointment.
Donation to see the museum is $5 for adults; children 12 and under free with a paying adult.
The Society is still seeking volunteers to help cover the increased hours.
Hours will change again in December, and then will increase by February to ten hours per week.
