Toyota Announces Recall of Certain Tundra Vehicles

TORRANCE, Calif.–(ENEWSPF)–September 11, 2014 – Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. will conduct a recall of approximately 130,000 Model Year 2014 Tundra Crew-Max Cab and Double Cab vehicles.

In the involved vehicles, due to the possible misinstallation of a garnish on the center pillars, the garnish could interfere with the side Curtain-Shield-Airbags (CSA) in the event of a deployment, which may not allow the airbag to achieve its intended inflated shape.

Toyota is not aware of any crashes, injuries or fatalities caused by this condition.

Owners of the vehicles involved will receive a notification by first class mail. Toyota dealers will inspect the center pillar garnishes. If either is not installed correctly, it will be replaced with a new one.

Detailed information is available to customers at www.toyota.com/recall  and by calling the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 1-800-331-4331.
