Michael’s® Naturopathic Programs Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk and Soy in The Dietary Supplement Cholesterol Metabolism Factors™

Silver Spring, Maryland–(ENEWSPF)–June 24, 2016.  Michael’s® Naturopathic Programs of San Antonio Texas  is recalling certain lots of the dietary supplement Cholesterol Metabolism Factors™, because it may contain undeclared milk (in the form of calcium caseinate) and soy. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk and soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Cholesterol Metabolism Factors™was distributed nationwide in the US through retail stores and online (internet) ordering.

The product is sold in white plastic bottles with the Michael’s® Naturopathic Programs brand label.  Three sizes of this product are affected by the recall, 90 count, 180 count and 270 count.  The following lot numbers and BEST BY dates are included in the recall.  The Lot number and BEST BY date are located on the bottom of the bottle or on the back side of the bottle:

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was initiated when updated allergen information received from the contract manufacturer included the allergens milk and soy contained in one ingredient in Cholesterol Metabolism Factors™.  The label on the affected lots did not reveal the presence of milk and soy.

If you have purchased this product, stop taking it immediately and return it to the place where purchased for a full refund.
