NIU Student from Park Forest Shot and Killed at Off-campus Party

(DEKALB) A 22-year-old Northern Illinois University student from south suburban Park Forest was shot and killed during an argument at an off-campus apartment party early Wednesday.

Steven R. Agee II, 22, of Park Forest, was shot about 2:10 a.m. at an apartment in the 800 block of Edgebrook Drive, DeKalb Police Chief Bill Feithen said.

Police arrived about a minute after someone called 911 to report that someone had been shot and found the NIU student with a gunshot wound to the chest, Feithen said. Agee was taken to Kishwaukee Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
