Venezuela Ambassador Designate Arveliaz to Discuss Achievements of the Bolivarian Revolution on Thursday, May 14 at DePaul University

CHICAGO—(ENEWSPF)—May 13, 2015. DePaul University Department of History and Chicago Stands with Venezuela welcome Venezuela Ambassador designate Maximilien Sánchez Arvelaiz. His presentation, “Venezuela is not a Threat, We are Hope,” will address the important achievements of the Bolivarian revolution – in education, health care, human rights, worker rights, participatory democracy.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m. in Room 254 at the DePaul University Schmitt Academic Center, 2320 N. Kenmore, Chicago.

Ambassador Sánchez Arvelaiz will also address the issue of President Obama’s Executive Order declaring Venezuela “an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security” of the United States. Every single country of Latin America and the Caribbean called on Obama to revoke his Executive Order.
