Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Students at Matteson School District 162’s Indiana School mounted a coin drive to benefit critically injured Park Forest Police Officer Tim Jones. The students raised $1,036.57 total.

Indiana Principal Dr. Camilla Covington and students Maryam Beg and Mia Lewis, who represented the school, presented the check to Park Forest Police Officer Julius Moore.

The coin drive was initiated because the Indiana School students wanted to show their support for Officer Jones who suffered gunshot wounds in the line of duty in March of 2016.

Officer Jones continues his recovery day by day.
