Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Rich Township Food Pantry has seen an increase in clientele over the last twelve months. With the economy on most peoples minds and job losses on the rise, the Rich Township Food Pantry is in need of support now more than ever. The director of the Rich Township Food Pantry, Vicki Sline, stated “People need to remember that all it takes is a lack of one paycheck and they could be standing in line.”
Robert Pierce, of the Rotary Club of Park Forest, has taken a stand for this need. On a quarterly bases he does a ‘Pass the Hat’ at his Rotary Club. The Rotary Club is a Service Based club that is dedicated to service above self. “Every quarter we are able to raise between $200-$300 for the food pantry”, states Jim Settles, Sr., President. “We are a small club of dedicated individuals and we do what we can.”
Monetary and food donations can be dropped off at 22013 Governors Hwy., Richton Park. Call Pantry Director Vicki Sline at 748-6722 for more information.
