Representative DeLuca Reorganizes Citizen Advisory Committees

Lawmaker urges constituents to get involved and participate in the process

CHICAGO HEIGHTS—(ENEWSPF)—January 28, 2013. To hear the thoughts, perspectives and opinions of his constituents on important issues, State Representative Anthony DeLuca (D-Chicago Heights) is encouraging local residents to become members of his local Citizen Advisory Committees.

“Hearing the thoughts and opinions of my constituents is vital in order to do the best job possible when representing the 80th District,” DeLuca said. “These committees have been an important part of the community for the past four years, and are currently reorganizing due to redistricting.”

Advisory Committees are open to all constituents of the 80th district. The following committees will be available for residents to become involved: Agriculture, Economic Development, Education, Healthcare and Women’s Issues, Labor, Parks and Recreation, Public Safety, and Senior Issues.

“I urge any local residents interested in these issues to contact my office and join one of my advisory committees,” DeLuca said. “All are invited, regardless of political affiliation or beliefs. I encourage everyone to participate in various meetings, receive periodic legislative updates and have a direct line of communication.”

To sign up for one of Representative DeLuca’s committees, please contact Donna Fanning at 708-754-7900.

DeLuca’s 80th Representative District includes all or parts of: Chicago Heights, Flossmoor, Frankfort, Glenwood, Homewood, Manhattan, Matteson, Monee, Mokena, New Lenox, Olympia Fields, Park Forest, South Chicago Heights, University Park, and Wilmington.
