PSC Summer Registration Begins March 20


Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Registration for the summer 2009 term begins March 20 at Prairie State College (PSC).

Two eight-week summer sessions are offered. The first session begins May 26 and ends July 16; the second session begins June 8 and ends July 30. The summer course schedule is available online at prairiestate.edu.

Students are encouraged to register early to get the most convenient schedule. New and continuing students can register in person at PSC, located at 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights. Registration hours are Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Current students also can register on the college’s Web site.

Summer is the perfect time for students who are home from college to enroll in classes at PSC. Students can fulfill general education requirements and transfer the credits back to their college. Summer also is an excellent time for high school students to get a jump on their college education. Members of the high school class of 2010 may take one college-credit course at PSC with no charge for tuition. To be eligible, students must attend a high school in the PSC district, have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale, and have permission from their high school.
