Matteson, IL—(ENEWSPF)—March 3, 2014. The Sauk-Calumet Group of the Illinois Sierra Club will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, March 10, at 7:15 p.m. at the Frankfort Public Library, 21119 Pfeiffer Rd. (just off Rt. 30).
National Sierra Club Outings Leader, Chris Beamsley, will show slides and tell of the service trips that he has led to Denali National Park in Alaska and the Bitterroots in Montana. On such trips, Sierra Club members work to restore natural areas, rebuild trails, and perform other service on behalf of our National Parks and natural areas.
Sierra Club meetings are free and open to the public. People who enjoy outdoor activities, who want to protect the environment, or who wish to preserve the world in which we live, are encouraged to attend.
