Death Count 40,000 More Than Government Report From Tuesday
Haiti’s president said the government has buried 270,000 bodies in mass graves since an earthquake struck a month ago.
A statement from Rene Preval’s office in Port-au-Prince said Wednesday that the president gave the new figure during a meeting with South American presidents in Ecuador.
