Matteson, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Clad in white graduation robes, 20 Matteson School District 162 students with straight A records and GPAs of 4.71 served as co-valedictorians at the District’s graduation ceremonies on June 1st at the Tinley Park Convention Center.
The students each received a golden apple as a symbol of their academic accomplishments and of their role in the graduation ceremony.

“These young people have exhibited a strong work ethic and a high regard for education,” said Superintendent Blondean Y. Davis. “They have wonderful academic records and the same GPA. How could we possibly only choose one to address the graduation class? To have each of them serve as salutatorian is the perfect solution. This was a good problem to have.”
