Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–September 10, 2009. The Park Forest Nurses Club will begin its 2009-2010 year, on Thursday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m. with a smorgasbord dinner and “Laughter Therapy.” Guest speaker, Kathy O’Brien, RN, a certified laughter therapist, will demonstrate effective exercises to promote the benefits of laughter.
Research has shown a decrease in anxiety, stress, blood pressure, and improvement to the immune system due to laughter. All RN’s, LPN’s and student nurses are invited to participate in this interesting and enjoyable evening.
The meeting will be held at Calvary United Protestant Church located at Lincoln Highway and Orchard Drive. Members are asked to bring their favorite salad. Dessert and beverage will be provided.
