Chicago Heights, IL—(ENEWSPF)—Habitat for Humanity Chicago South Suburbs is currently taking applications from ‘Income-Challenged Homeowners’ in Park Forest or Lansing for $5,000 worth of free weatherization of their home.
The work is done by a licensed sub-contractor and will include adding insulation to the attic, sealing leaks to the outside in the attic, a programmable thermostat, weather-stripping, etc.
HOUSEHOLD INCOME CAN NOT EXCEED THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:
1 Person – $42,200 |
2 Persons – $48,250 |
3 Persons – $54,250 |
4 Persons – $60,300 |
5 Persons – $65,100 |
6 Persons – $69,950 |
7 Persons – $74,750 |
8 Persons – $79,600 |
This program is limited to those who own single-family homes. Since there is a fixed amount of money available for each city, it will be distributed on a ‘first come; first served’ basis.
