Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—December 29, 2015. The Teen Zone will join City Year Chicago for a day of service on Monday, January 18th as we adopt the ‘day on’ philosophy that Dr. King’s remembrance should be celebrated by a series of service projects.
Last year volunteers performed a total of 33 service projects in Chicago’s Carson Elementary and Gage Park High School. Projects included; constructing benches, organizing school inventory, and hundreds of murals and quotes between three school buildings!
This free event is open to those ages 12 through 18. Registration is required.
Bus transportation will leave from the parking lot of Park Forest Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive at 8 a.m. and will return to Park Forest at approximately 5 p.m.
For additional information or to register, please contact Adina McCollough, Teen Services Coordinator at 708-283-5663 or email [email protected].
