South Carolina–(ENEWSPF)–August 16, 2011. During a campaign stop in South Carolina today, Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann wished the late Elvis Presley a “Happy Birthday.” The conservative congresswoman obviously did no fact checking as August 16th is not Elvis’ birthday but the anniversary of the day the ‘King of Rock and Roll’ died.
“Before we get started, let’s all say ‘Happy Birthday’ to Elvis Presley today,” said Bachmann. “We played you a little bit of promise land when we pulled up. You can’t do better than Elvis Presley.”
