Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–May 2, 2011. Spring has finally arrived and many of us are anxious to get our hands in the dirt to begin our summer gardens. If you’re new to gardening, or find your thumb is not as green as you’d like, plan on attending the ‘Grow Your Own Garden Day’ event on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Calvary United Church, 425 N. Orchard (corner of Orchard and Route 30), Park Forest.
Hundreds of plants will be given away so you can enhance your existing garden or begin a new one. In addition, some Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding starting or maintaining a garden.
