Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Several times prior to the 4th of July parade in Park Forest, Gov. Pat Quinn spoke of his resolve to move forward on the third airport.

He shared his conviction with Park Forest Mayor John Ostenburg, Trustee Gary Kopycinski, and State Rep. Anthony J. DeLuca.

It was the first thing the governor mentioned to Mayor Ostenburg, broaching the subject with both Ostenburg and Rep. DeLuca separately.

Gov. Quinn marched the entire 4th of July parade route on foot, taking his time to shake hands with residents and speak with residents at length as the parade progressed. In fact, Congresswoman Robin Kelly’s contingent at one point was asked to go ahead of the governor’s. Quinn took his time along the parade route, speaking at length with many residents.
