Hyde Park, IL—(ENEWSPF)—August 7, 2012. On Wednesday, August 8 the Chicago Teachers Solidarity Campaign (CTSC) will hold a press conference and picket at East 53rd Street and Lake Park from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
According to CTSC, by law, 62% of Chicago’s property taxes must go to public schools. But TIFs (Tax Increment Financing) schemes, allow the Mayor Emanuel to take tax money from schools to use for political favors for the 1%.
