Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is the policy of eNews Park Forest to not remove items in the public record from publication. Alicia R. Townsend, 25, 7313 Southwick Ct., Frankfort, was arrested on March 21 and charged with criminal damage to property when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Sycamore Street to investigate a report of criminal damage to property.

Steven L. Farley, 31, 312 Springfield St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 22 and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis, no insurance, and illegal transportation of alcohol when police, conducting a roadside sobriety checkpoint in the area of Western Avenue and Sycamore Street, spoke with a driver later identified as Farley who allegedly told police that he had been drinking, according to police.

Shaquille D. Reeves, 20, 214 Nashua St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 23 and charged with felony aggravated battery to a police officer when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Nashua Street to investigate a report of a domestic dispute.

Darnell A. Howard, 32, 22024 Spring Ln., Richton Park, was arrested on March 23 and charged with driving on a suspended license, possession of cannabis, and no rear registration light when an officer traveling westbound on 26th Street at Western Avenue observed that the vehicle Howard was driving had no rear registration light, according to police.

Alexander D. Weatherspoon, 34, 211 Tampa St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 24 and charged with felony possession of cannabis with intent to deliver when police were apprised of a subject on a bike making a hand-to-hand drug transaction at Tampa and Talala Streets, according to police.

Michael J. Blakley, 32, 1130 Jamie Lane, Homewood, was arrested on March 24 and charged with felony possession of cannabis, misdemeanor driving while license was suspended and issued traffic citations charging no rear registration plate light and suspended driver’s license. An officer patrolling near the intersection of 26th Street and Western Avenue observed that the vehicle Blakely was driving had no rear registration plate light, according to police.

An Apple iPhone valued at $400 was reported stolen from the boy’s locker room at Michelle Obama School of Technology and the Arts, 215 Wilson Street, on March 27.

Marcus T. Boyed, 22, 18330 Cherry Creek Dr., Apt. 7, Homewood, was arrested on March 27 and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and expired registration when an officer traveling northbound on Western Avenue near Main Street conducted a LEADS inquiry on the registration of a vehicle in front of him and discovered that the registration was expired.

Laurinda Landa, 38, 38 Apache St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 28 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when an officer traveling South on Western Avenue observed a vehicle that had no visible taillights, according to police. Landa was a passenger in that vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was issued a municipal citation charging no taillights when required.

Antonio D. Hall, 23, 246 Blackhawk Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on March 28 and charged with 2 counts of misdemeanor resisting/obstructing a police officer when he allegedly confronted police while they were engaged with a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Western Avenue, according to police.

Detrice R. Fair, 25, 26 W. 29th St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on March 28 and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving while license was suspended when police were dispatched to 26th Street and Allegheny Street in reference to a report of a single-car crash.

A wallet and approximately $20 worth of change were stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of Cherry Street on March 29. Police say there was no evidence of forced entry.

A white iPod Touch was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 300 block of Main Street on March 29.

An officer patrolling in downtown Park Forest observed a shattered store window in the first block of Lester Street on March 30.

A rear window of a residence in the 100 block of Monee Road was reported shattered on March 30.

An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Watseka Street on March 31 in reference to a report of harassment by telephone. Police have suspect information and are investigating.

A replica revolver gun lighter was reported stolen from a detached garage in the 300 block of Seminole Street on March 31.

A black 2007 Kia Sportage, Illinois license plate X348052, was reported stolen from the 200 block of Rich Road on April 1. Police report that a credit card left in the vehicle was used to make an online purchase. Detectives are investigating.

Jercobie Isiah Funches, 33, 36 W. Rocket Circle, Park Forest, was arrested on April 1 and charged with criminal trespass to real property when police were dispatched to Juniper Tower Apartments, 350 Juniper Street, to investigate a report of an unwanted subject.

Loren J. Browne, 43, 2682 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on April 1 and charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault on a peace officer when police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Western Avenue to investigate a report of a domestic dispute.

Damon A. Moore, 37, 321 Farragut St., Park Forest, was arrested on April 2 and charged with contributing to the neglect of a minor after police took into custody a juvenile suspected of retail theft.

An Apple iPhone 4 was reported stolen from a gym bag left in the wrestling room of Rich East High School on April 2.

Jerry Henderson, 37, 225 Arcadia St., Park Forest, was arrested on April 2 and issued municipal citations charging possession of cannabis and driving with only one headlight when an officer observed that Henderson’s vehicle, traveling eastbound on North Street approaching Western Avenue, had only one functioning headlight, according to police.

An officer responded to the Park Forest Police Department on April 3 to investigate a report of forgery. The report relates to a check in the amount of $1850 that was not authorized by the owner of the account.

Christopher L. Cherest, 46, 360 Blackhawk Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on April 3 and charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of resisting a peace officer when police observed Cherest allegedly engage in a brief hand-to-hand exchange with the driver of a vehicle in the area of Suwanee Street and Miami Street, according to police.

A vehicle reported stolen out of Calumet City on April 3 was recovered in the driveway of a residence in the 400 block of Sandburg Street on April 4.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 3100 block of Western Avenue was reported shattered on April 4.

A resident told police at the Park Forest Police Department on April 6 that he had received a bill in the mail from Verizon Wireless. However, he advised police that no one in his household had a Verizon Wireless account. The bill was in the amount of $335.90. Police are investigating.

Richard T. Uran Jr., 47, 6647 Eugene Ave., Portage, IN, was arrested on April 7 and charged with felony aggravated driving under the influence and felony revoked driver’s license when police were dispatched to the area of Tamarack Street and Monee Road to investigate a report of a vehicle crash. According to police, the vehicle Uran was driving ran off the road and crashed into a ditch on the road behind a residence on Tamarack Street.

Michael J. Mundell, 36, 1402 Wentworth Ave., Calumet City, and Amy M. Lubben, 42, 6019 S. Mason Ave., Chicago, were both arrested on April 7 and charged with one count of retail theft each when police were dispatched to Dollar General Store, 10 Main Street, to investigate a report of a suspicious person.

Daniel S. Bucel, 67, 23 Forest Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on April 7 and charged with domestic battery and assault when police were dispatched to the first block of Forest Boulevard to investigate a report of an unwanted subject.

A Samsung flat-screen 40-inch television and a gallon container full of various coins were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of North Orchard Drive during a residential burglary on April 8.

A Garmin Nuvi 50 GPS valued at $150 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Wilshire Street on April 8.

Antoinette A. Mclin-Maney, 38, 15 Leims Rd., Park Forest, was arrested on April 9 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving in the wrong lane (against traffic), and improper lane usage when an officer patrolling southbound on Western Avenue approaching Illinois Street observed the vehicle Mclin-Maney was driving northbound on Western Avenue traveling in the southbound lane from Illinois Street, according to police. The officer had to take evasive action and swerve out of the way to avoid a collision, according to police.

Margerita S. Edwards, 31, 74 W. Main St., 2nd Floor, Chicago Heights, was arrested on April 10 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while license was suspended, obstructing identification, driving with expired registration, and processed on an Illinois Department of Corrections parole violation warrant when an officer traveling southbound on Western Avenue conducted a LEADS inquiry on a vehicle in front of him.

Steven L. Saunoris, 37, 3447 Sally Dr., Steger, was arrested on April 11 and charged with felony aggravated driving while license was revoked, improper lighting – one headlamp, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle when an officer traveling northbound on Western Avenue from Indianwood Boulevard observed that the vehicle Saunoris was driving had only one functioning headlamp, according to police.

Jacinto Garcia, 29, 810 N. Maple Dr., Chicago Heights, and William L. Slate, 16721 Lakewood Dr., Tinley Park, were arrested on April 11 and charged with one count of disorderly conduct each when police were dispatched to Dunagain’s Irish Pub, 90 S. Orchard Dr., regarding a report of a fight in progress.

An iPod Nano valued at $120, $40 cash and prescription medications were reported stolen from a purse left in a vehicle parked in the first block of Brookside Road on April 12. Police did not observe forced entry to the vehicle.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Well Street on April 12 to investigate a report of a residential burglary. Police were unable to determine what was missing from the residence.

A wallet was reported stolen from the basket of a stroller at the Park Forest Library on April 13.

The front driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 23400 block of South Western Avenue was reported shattered on April 14. Additionally, a checkbook and $10 cash were reported taken from the vehicle.
