WASHINGTON, D.C.--(ENEWSPF)--April 17, 2013.  Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) issued the following statement today in reaction to the United States Senate’s failure to pass the gun background check amendment :

“I am extremely disappointed that the Senate failed to pass the background check amendment. When will enough be enough? How many more innocent people need to lose their lives before we wake up and take reasonable steps to protect our communities, our families and our children from senseless gun violence? We are losing a generation of young people one day at a time. I will continue to fight to pass common sense gun laws. We owe the victims and their families that much.”
