Man Lured To Vacant House on Indianwood – Robbed


Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— An Oak Forest man told police he was lured to a vacant house and robbed at gunpoint.

According to police, the victim was led to a residence in the 0 – 100 block of Indianwood Blvd. on December 23 by a woman. He provided police with her first name, but did not know her last name. Around 10:15 p.m., the victim picked up the woman from her home in Oak Forest and brought her to the residence on Indianwood so she could pick up a Christmas present from her cousin. When they arrived, she asked him to come inside with her.

He went into the house and was immediately attacked by two unknown male black subjects, each having a black gun. According to the victim, the first subject was approximately 6’6", wearing a dark jacket and a mask over his face. The second subject was approximately 5 foot 10 inches, and was standing in the dining room area. They allegedly put the guns to the victim’s head and demanded money. Police say they pushed the victim to the ground and struck him in the back of the head with a gun and also punched him in the cheek. They also went through his pockets.

The man says he told them not to kill him, and pulled out his wallet and let the subjects take approximately $200. They also took his cellular phone and his state identification card, according to the report. All three then fled out the kitchen side door.

The victim then ran out the door he entered, took his car, and flagged down a driver on Western Avenue to have them contact the police. Police continue to investigate.
