Prof. Rocky Kolb
CHICAGO–(ENEWSPF)–October 20, 2016. Kolb will deliver the annual Leon Lederman Lecture in Physics, named for the 1988 Nobel laureate and former UChicago faculty member and Fermilab director.
Kolb will explore the complex question of what constitutes the universe. Astronomical observations indicate that 95 percent of the universe is missing: Most of the mass of the universe is in a mysterious form known as dark matter, and most of the energy in the universe is in an even more mysterious form known as dark energy.
Free and open to the public, the lecture will be held at the Robert A. Pritzker Science Center, Room 111, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. RSVP to Todd Kersh at [email protected].
