CHICAGO HEIGHTS–(ENEWSPF)–May 1, 2017. Works of art from eight graduating Prairie State College (PSC) students is on display through Thursday, May 18, in the Christopher Art Gallery, located on the PSC main campus at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights. A reception with the artists is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 3.
The exhibit features works that include drawings, paintings, photography, and mixed-media pieces by the students who are completing degrees in fine arts, graphic communications, and photography.
PSC student artists whose work will be featured in the exhibit are Lawrence Davis of University Park, Diquan Gilbert of Olympia Fields, Sabrina Howard of Homewood, Brian Mazique of Country Club Hills, Bill Moser of Homewood, Rebecca Silic of Park Forest, Robert Walker of Matteson and Kennedy Passmore-Whittler of Chicago Heights.
Professor Paul Rinaldi, coordinator of PSC’s fine arts program, is the curator of the exhibition.
The Christopher Art Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Visits also can be made by appointment.
