League of Women Voters – Park Forest Area to Host Fall Potluck Supper Meeting on Wednesday, September 14


Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—September 3, 2016.  As the days of summer are quickly dwindling, it is a sure sign that it is time for the League of Women Voters – Park Forest Area fall potluck supper meeting.  This year the potluck meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 14at 6:00 pm at Leonard Robinson Building, Rich Township Complex, 22013 Governors Highway in Richton Park. Members are asked to bring a dish and a guest.

After the supper, our informational meeting will begin at 7:15 pm. Our speaker for the evening is Colleen Gleason, Candidates Services Manager from the Office of the Cook County Clerk. She will provide information on the following ballot topics:

  • Illinois Independent Redistricting Amendment
  • Illinois Transportation Funds Amendment
  • Any additional constitutional amendments that will be on the ballot
  • A review of a sample ballot and the dates for early voting

In addition, member Doug Price will share information on the status of the redistricting initiative.

New members are encouraged to attend. This meeting should be a wonderful mix of food, camaraderie, information and an excellent energizer for the election season.
