SEIU: Inexplicable: House Passes Yet Another Anti-Worker Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–December 1, 2011. Mary Kay Henry, President of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), issued the following statement after House of Representatives passed the anti-worker “Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act”:

“This is an absurd piece of legislation that illustrates just how tone deaf some Members of Congress are to the jobs emergency in our country. Instead of focusing on creating jobs, House Republicans chose to attack workers’ rights once again. In a time of crisis, spending valuable time to pass a bill that does nothing to create a single job is inexplicable and inexcusable.

“The recent victory for workers in Ohio should be a warning to Members of Congress who continue to attack workers’ rights. We won’t stand for it, and we will hold you accountable at the ballot box.”
