Supporting Judge Mat Delort for the Appellate Court

Justice Mat Delort

Commentary
By Gary Kopycinski

I strongly endorse Mat Delort for judge of the appellate court.

Here’s why.

I have known Mat Delort. I have known him for quite some time.

Mat, for a number of years, was our Village Attorney in Park Forest.

His goal? To keep the Village of Park Forest out of court, as opposed to some attorneys I have met, representing other jurisdictions, who seem to thrive on lawsuits, court appearances, and, of course, billing their respective jurisdiction. Billing taxpayers.

Mat was never concerned about the invoices. Mat was never concerned with billing taxpayers in Park Forest for incidental court appearances. If the VOPF did not go to court, that was fine with Mat. His firm did not need to pad the bill.

I respect Mat Delort.

Mat is one of the most knowledgeable attorneys I have ever met. What does that mean? It means that, when I was seated at the dais, I did not have to double check anything that Mat ever said. I am not an attorney. Delort was our Village Attorney at the time.

I could trust Mat Delort. For the residents of Park Forest, and beyond.

I still trust Mat Delort.

Please, please, support Delort for the court. Mat is the real deal, an exemplary public official.

Elect Mat Delort to the Appellate Court.
