OREGON–(ENEWSPF)–July 29, 2016. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent voter, we can all agree on one thing. Last night was a HUUUUGE victory for women.
Like many, I shared the historic moment at my house with some friends and yes, there were a few tears shed. For those of us, like myself who are in the 60+ age group, we know just how far we’ve come from the days when Beaver Cleaver’s mom, June, was the role model for young women. While being a stay-at-home mom is one of the most important jobs a woman can do, there’s no denying that in today’s world, the ability for many to be a stay-at-home mom is simply not a reality.
For those of you who have daughters, I hope you have shared this important moment with them. I think the Tweet below says it all.
While last night was a great night for all women in the United States, we shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that we still have a long way to go. But for now, let’s enjoy this historic moment.
