Complaints to Comcast Way Down in Park Forest

Comcast representative Yohan Fernando reported to the Park Forest Cable Commission that complaints to the cable provider have dropped dramatically compared to years past. Fernando made the report at Wednesday’s meeting of the commission.

Members of the Cable Commission agreed. There was only one complaint to Comcast the past quarter. Mr. Fernando acknowledged he had addressed a previous complaint where a Comcast representative had told a customer that some channels to residents were not available because the Village wouldn’t permit those channels. The representative was incorrect, Mr. Fernando said.  The concern related to a new sports channel that was unavailable one day, and the representative provided inaccurate information.

In response to a question on the matter by Vice-Chairman Rickey Williams, Mr. Fernando said the representative did receive additional training.

Mr. Fernando attributes recent cable upgrades in Park Forest with the lack of cable outages, plant maintenance and high tech monitoring of the system.
