One week you are selling overpriced high-heeled shoes, the next you are reading top secret military briefings? Nah.

Donald Trump has repeatedly said that three of his children—Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric Trump—will run his companies in a blind trust. It’s a claim Rudy Giuliani repeated over the weekend:

A top adviser to President-elect Donald Trump says it would be “unrealistic” to purge his children from his businesses and hand their control over to an independent trustee.

Appearing on televised interviews on Sunday, Giuliani initially said Trump should set up “some kind of blind trust.” When pressed, Giuliani told CNN’s “State of the Union” that Trump’s unusual situation might call for more flexibility than a traditional blind trust and involve his three children.

Now comes this stunning development: Donald Trump has reportedly asked the White House for top secret security clearance for his three children:

So much for that blind trust! Ladies and gentlemen, it is becoming increasingly clear that Donald Trump is not prepared for the job of president of the United States. Being the offspring of Donald Trump does not qualify this trio to be privy to the most sensitive top secret material we have. These young Trumps were not elected, have never served in public office, have ZERO military background, and should not be cleared at the highest security levels in this country. They are totally unqualified to be making high-level security decisions, particularly if they are managing Trump properties and businesses around the world.

And once again, from all of us: We are so sorry, Tiffany.

More details from Julianna Goldmann of CBS News. They’ll simply act as unpaid advisors while they run the “blind trust” because Trump can’t legally hire them in the White House. Totally above board now.
