DOD Identifies Two Army Casualties, October 12, 2011


Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–October 12, 2011. The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation New Dawn.

Chief Warrant Officer James B. Wilke, 38, of Ione, Calif. died Oct.10, in Doha, Qatar.  He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, Fort Bliss, Texas.

The Department of Defense also announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Sgt. Nathan L. Wyrick, 34, of Enumclaw, Wash., died Oct. 10 in Kandahar province.  He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.
