Two Shot, One Dead, In Park Forest

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Two men were shot in Park Forest early Friday morning. One of the men died as a result of his injuries, Park Forest Police said in a statement.

According to police, on Friday, April 27, 2018, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Park Forest Police Officers responded to the 100 block of Algonquin Street in reference to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers found two adult males with gunshot wounds, one of whom did not survive his injuries, police said in the statement.

As this is an active investigation, police are not releasing any more information at this time.

“Members of the Park Forest Police Department Investigations Division are investigating this active investigation,” the statement said, “and we do not have reason to believe that there is a continued threat to the public. Further information is not being released at this time, but we will post updates or additional information as we are able.”
