Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– A 16-year-old Rich East Student was arrested after allegedly bringing three bags of drugs to school.
At 8:20 a.m. August 27, the Police Liaison at Rich East High School, 300 Sauk Trail, was called to the Dean’s Office in reference to a student who allegedly arrived late to school and smelled like burnt marijuana.
The officer found a small bag of marijuana in the minor’s back pocket. The minor then ran out of the office and out of the school, crossed Sauk Trail, and walked Southbound on Shabbona, police said.
The minor then allegedly approached a front yard in the 300 block of Shabbona where he allegedly hid an item under a bush, which was later found to be two bags of “crack” cocaine. He was later found and arrested at the intersection of Miami and Minocqua.
The minor told police “He only sells ‘crack’ to make extra money to buy shoes,” according to police reports.
The student was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and resisting arrest.
