Police: Man Found Dead In Driveway Of Park Forest Home

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- According to a statement from the Park Forest Police Department, a man was found unresponsive in the driveway of a residence in the 200 block of Miami Street.

On Thursday, July 7, 2016 at approximately 5:50 a.m., Park Forest Police officers and paramedics responded to the 200 block of Miami Street for the report of a person who was unresponsive in a driveway of a residence, police said.

Paramedics found the adult male subject was deceased, police said.

Park Forest investigators responded to the scene and are conducting a death investigation, assisted by the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Technicians, police said.

Information on the identity of the deceased was withheld when the statement was released pending notification of next of kin. According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, the man was in his 20s.

“At this time the investigation is still ongoing,” Police said. “Investigators do not believe that the subject died as the result of a homicide but from self-inflicted injuries, and the public is not in any danger.”
