Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. A desktop computer tower valued at $500, a 32-inch Vizio flat-screen television valued at $400, and an 18.5-inch Hewlett-Packard flat-screen computer monitor valued at $50 are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Algonquin Street on July 3.

Police were dispatched to the first block of Apple Lane on July 4 to investigate a report of domestic battery. Police continue to investigate.

A purple girls Mongoose 26-inch mountain bike valued at $130 was reported stolen from the 100 block of Dogwood Street on July 4.

Police were dispatched to the area of Indiana and Early Streets on July 4 to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman told police that she had been battered by an ex-boyfriend. Police are investigating.

A John Deere lawn tractor valued at $2500 was reported stolen from the first block of Monee Road on July 4.

A juvenile was arrested on July 4 and processed on a charge of unlawful possession of a weapon (stun gun) when police on patrol in the 400 block of Lakewood Boulevard observed juveniles shouting at each other.

A juvenile told police he was punched hard in the face and fell to the ground, breaking his ankle, while walking in the 200 block of Westwood Drive on July 4. The alleged offender is described as 6 feet tall, muscular build, a teenager or in his early 20s, with short hair and a medium-Brown complexion.

Two juveniles were arrested on July 4 and issued municipal citations charging battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street to investigate a battery complaint.

A Needs brand double plated bulletproof vest valued at $700, a nylon police duty belt valued at $100, a Smith & Wesson 9 mm automatic handgun valued at $250, a pair of Nike Air Jordan gym shoes valued at $160, two Sony PlayStation 3 game consoles valued at $598.98 total, and two Microsoft Xbox 360 game consoles valued at $598.98 total, are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on July 4.

A juvenile was arrested on July 4 and issued a municipal citation charging disorderly conduct when an officer patrolling in the area of Lakewood Boulevard and Westwood Drive observed two juveniles squaring off to fight.

A Sansui flat-screen television valued at $350, a Westinghouse flat-screen television valued at $500, and two Dynex flat-screen televisions valued at $500 each were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Miami Street on July 5.

A sapphire and diamond white gold bracelet valued at $2000 and several other miscellaneous items of jewelry were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Lakewood Boulevard on July 5.

Police say $200 of copper piping and two halogen light fixtures were stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on July 6.

Louis C. Sisson, 62, 318 Blackhawk Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on July 6 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when an officer conducting surveillance in the 400 block of Sauk Trail observed a vehicle with a missing front registration plate.

A 32-inch Toshiba flat-screen television, a 19-inch Sansui flat-screen television, an 18-inch Toshiba laptop computer, and a 15-inch Toshiba laptop computer were reported stolen from a residence in the 3500 block of Western Avenue on July 6.

The front driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Homan Avenue was reported shattered on July 7. Additionally, police say a small hole was carved in the front driver’s side door of the vehicle.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard was reported shattered on July 8.

Police say $140 cash was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Shabbona Drive on July 8.

A Gateway laptop computer valued at $500 was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Algonquin Street on July 8.

A stove valued at $200, a refrigerator valued at $200, and approximately $30 in copper piping were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on July 9.

A Garman GPS was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of Monee Road on July 9.

A juvenile was arrested on July 10 and charged with residential burglary when police responded to the 200 block of Wilson Street in reference to a report of a residential burglary in progress with alleged offenders fleeing the scene on foot.

Police are investigating the theft of a BMX bicycle valued at $200 from the Park Forest Library on July 10.

An unknown amount of copper piping was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on July 10.

A window of a residence in the 300 block of Oswego Street was reported shattered on July 10.

Police say someone set fire to a trashcan in a washroom at Logan Park, 207 Grant Street, on July 11.

Police say a resident in the 300 block of Neola Street reported a subject entered her residence without permission and then tried to lure her outside to the rear of her residence on July 11. The resident observed a white sport utility vehicle parked across the Street in front of her residence. Inside the vehicle were two subjects. Police say this is a common ploy used by some to get people to leave their residences so that others may enter the front.

Stanley R. McCaskill, 38, 18010 Olympia Dr., Country Club Hills, was arrested on July 11 and charged with driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of cannabis, and improper lighting (one headlight only) when an officer on patrol in the area of Forest and Lakewood Boulevards observed that the vehicle McCaskill was driving had a broken headlight, according to police.

Robert J. Catlett, 63, 350 Juniper St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 12 and charged with felony reckless discharge of a firearm and misdemeanor assault when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Juniper Street to investigate a report of two men arguing and then the sound of a gun being shot.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on July 12 to investigate a report of domestic battery. Police continue to investigate.

Approximately $50 of copper piping was stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on July 12.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Miami Street on July 12 when a resident called and reported a burglary in progress. Police observed that it appeared someone unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry to the residence.

Celeste M. Krumrie, 50, 322 Nassau St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 13 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Nassau Street to investigate a report of a disturbance.

Police say a door of a residence in the 300 block of Oswego Street was forced open on July 13. Police observed a number of items scattered throughout the residence and a computer printer on the floor that had been pulled away from the wall. Police are investigating.

Brian A. Buchanan, 29, 12328 S. Emerald Ave., Chicago, was arrested on July 13 and charged with domestic battery, criminal damage to property, and theft, when police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a report of domestic battery.

Police say someone set fire to a garbage can near the pavilion at Central Park, 420 Lakewood Boulevard, on July 13.

The front screen door of a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street was reported stolen on July 13. Additionally, three windows of the residence were reported shattered.

A resident told police on July 14 that someone opened a Peoples Energy account in his name on December 1, 2011, without his permission. The resident learned that the account has a balance of $534 and has been sent to a collection agency. Police are investigating.

David F. Sparks, 58, 32 Birch St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 14 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Neosha Street to investigate a report of a suspicious subject.

A black Cussman mini-bike valued at $500, a Yamaha dirt bike valued at $1300, a Track 26-inch mountain bike valued at $700, and a Michael Spinner 24-inch bicycle valued at $145, are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Miami Street on July 14.

Armando G. Rodriguez, 28, 257 Mantua St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 14 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Mantua Street in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.

A resident reported a fraudulent activity on a bank account on July 14 following the loss of a debit card.

Police say a resident in the 100 block of Berry Street suspected someone had entered his residence without permission after finding a basketball jersey on a bed that did not belong to him. The report was made on July 14.

A window of a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street was reported shattered on July 14.

A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 300 block of Minocqua Street on July 14.

Charles Krumrie, 61, 17385 70th Ave., Tinley Park, was arrested on July 15 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Nassau Street to investigate a 911 hang-up.

A glass storm door of a residence in the 300 block of Wilshire Street was reported shattered on July 15. Police say two unknown male subjects were seen running from the residence.

A 15-inch Vizio flat-screen television valued at $150 and a Dell laptop computer valued at $800 are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Berry Street on July 14.

A window of the Park Forest Parks and Recreation Center, 215 Wilson Street, was reported shattered on July 15.

A resident reported telephone harassment at the Park Forest Police Department on July 15. Police are investigating.

The vehicle registration sticker of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Lester Road was reported stolen on July 15.
