Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Approximately $100 of copper piping was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on August 5.

An 8 foot section of fence at a residence in the 300 block of South Orchard Drive was reported vandalized on August 6.

A resident told police on August 7 that a charge of $304.50 had been made on his debit card without his permission.

A juvenile was issued a municipal citation charging battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Minocqua Street to investigate a battery complaint. The incident occurred on August 7.

A resident told police on August 8 that someone contacted Chase Bank, attempting to change the username and password to his account. The resident was alerted by the bank to the possible fraud.

Tieisha Y. Crenshaw-Evans, 24, 444 Wildwood Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on August 8 and charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault when police responded to the 400 block of Wildwood Drive to investigate a domestic battery complaint.

Letitia D. Butler, 41, 415 Sandburg St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 8 and charged with criminal damage to property when an officer on patrol observed a disturbance in the 400 block of Sandburg Street.

Police were dispatched to investigate a possible residential burglary in the first block of Cherry Street on August 8. While someone did gain entry to the residence, police say nothing appeared to be missing.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Chestnut Street to investigate a possible residential burglary on August 8. Police say a resident heard several subjects outside her residence who opened a screen door, and then attempted to open a locked patio door. The resident called a friend who lives nearby. The friend saw several juveniles on the south side of the residence. When the juveniles saw the resident’s friend they fled on foot.

Police responded to the 23400 block of Western Avenue to investigate a residential burglary on August 8. While nothing appeared to be stolen, police say entry was made to the residence and several rooms were disturbed.

A resident told police on August 8 that several fraudulent charges had been made against her checking account. Police are investigating.

A backpack containing an Apple iPad valued at $699, an Acer laptop computer valued at $600, a Minolta copier/scanner valued at $200, and a Samsung digital camera valued at $170 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of North Arbor Trail on August 8.

An Xbox 360 game system valued at $299 was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on August 8.

A laptop computer valued at $600, a Canon digital camera valued at $50, and a black computer bag valued at $25 were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Algonquin Street on August 9.

An Xbox game system valued at $200, a Nintendo Wii game system valued at $200, a Sceptra 40-inch flat-screen television valued at $800, and a Sony 46-inch flat-screen television valued at $700 were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Lakewood Boulevard on August 9.

A window of a residence in the 100 block of Nashua Street was reported shattered on August 9.

Alicia M. Mosby, 24, 1938 Revere St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on August 10 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Meota Street to investigate a report of battery.

A window of a residence in the 100 block of Nauvoo Street was reported shattered on August 10.

Twelve catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles parked in the 2200 block of Western Avenue on August 10.

Sharee L. Peete, 36, 389 Oswego St., Park Forest; and Howard M. McCowan, 35, 3505 Wallace Ave., Indianapolis, IN, were arrested on August 10 and charged with criminal trespass to land and theft when police were dispatched to a residence in the first block of Apple Street in reference to a report of a suspicious subject who was seen walking to the rear of a residence with a ladder. The anonymous caller stated that the subject returned from the rear of the residence with what appeared to be a black bag, which he placed into a vehicle. After an investigation, police located tools such as wire cutters, bolt cutters and hand saws from inside the vehicle, along with a large bundle of copper wiring.

Three gold plated necklaces valued at $100 were reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Marquette Street on August 10.

A window of a building in the 200 block of Blackhawk Drive was reported shattered on August 10.

Police say a man was robbed at gunpoint by two suspects while walking in the 200 block of Miami Street on August 10. Police were dispatched to the area at 10:05 PM. A pair of black Adidas gym shoes valued at $100, a White Sox baseball cap valued at $30, a mobile phone valued at $200, and $30 cash were reported stolen.

Kitchen cabinets valued at $2000, a kitchen countertop valued at $900, and a kitchen sink and faucet valued at $250 were reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Rocket Circle on August 11.

Police were dispatched to investigate a burglar alarm at a residence in the 200 block of Early Street on August 11. Police say entry had been gained to the residence and the owners were informed. Police are investigating.

Blanche E. Payne-Hall, 54, 113 Elm St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 11 and charged with violation of an order of protection when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Elm Street to investigate a report of a violation of an order of protection.

A juvenile was arrested on August 11 and issued a municipal citation charging taunting a police dog when officers from Park Forest, Matteson, and Olympia Fields were attempting to disperse a large crowd from a party at a residence in the 200 block of Indiana Street.

A blue and white 16-inch boy’s Huffy bicycle valued at $75 was reported stolen from Somonauk Park on August 12.

Police say a juvenile told them that while driving southbound on Western Avenue on August 12 near South Street, another vehicle cut him off. The juvenile turned west onto South Street and noticed that the vehicle that cut him off did a U-turn and followed him. The juvenile pulled into a driveway in the first block of South Street and the vehicle following him pulled in behind, blocking the driveway. Police say one of the men grabbed him by the throat and accused him of flipping them off. Police observed red marks, abrasions, and scratches on the left side of the juvenile’s neck and three scratches under his left forearm.

An Xbox 360 game system valued at $300, a gold necklace valued at $300, and a gold bracelet valued at $200 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on August 12.

Edward L. Sutton, 26, 125 Walnut St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 12 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the intersection of Walnut Street and Westgate Drive to investigate a disturbance.

Police were dispatched to the first block of Krotiak Street at approximately 11:30 PM on August 12 to investigate a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered the remnants of three small clear plastic water bottles made into homemade chemical Drano bombs that were apparently left to explode in the middle of the street. Police said nothing appeared to be damaged.

A gold, jade and pearl pendant valued at $400 and a matching set of gold, jade and pearl earrings valued at $300 were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Hay Street on August 12.

Craig Calomino, 39, homeless, was arrested August 13 and charged with one count of residential burglary when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Marquette Street to investigate a residential burglary in progress. Another felony charge of residential burglary was approved regarding a burglary at the same address on August 4 when $5200 cash was reported stolen.

An LG 42-inch flat-screen television valued at $500 and approximately $200 in costume jewelry were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on August 13.

Approximately $50 of copper piping was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard on August 13.

A 40-inch Sony 1080P LCD television valued at $2299 was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Algonquin Street on August 13.

A Sears Craftsman leaf blower valued at $50, a Pioneer VCR valued at $20, a Sears Craftsman snow blower valued at $250, a 53-inch Sony television valued at $500, and a Sears Craftsman powered lawnmower valued at $350 are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 3800 block of Western Avenue on August 13.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of North Orchard Drive was reported shattered on August 13.

Police say someone kicked in a door of a residence in the 200 block of Marquette Street sometime shortly after 2 AM on August 13. A resident was awakened by the sound of a large "boom" at the front door. Police observed a large muddy footprint on the door. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence.

The rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Lester Road was reported shattered on August 14.

Shawntino Boyd, 39, 1322 Kennedy Lane, Ford Heights, was arrested on August 14 and charged with obstructing identification, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle when an officer on patrol was flagged down by a resident in the 200 block of Indiana Street. The resident told police that his garage door burglar alarm had sounded and told police he went to the rear of the residence with his dog and observed a subject fleeing from his yard. The resident identified Boyd, according to police.

An Xbox 360 game system valued at $299.99, a watch valued at $450, several items of jewelry valued at $500, a Sony PlayStation 3 game system valued at $299.99, a Sony 55-inch flat-screen television valued at $2000, and $1000 cash are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Marquette Street on August 14.
