Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police blotter reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

A trailer was reported stolen between January 2 and January 6 from a business in the 2200 block of Western Avenue, police said.

Lamar Hankins, 51, 156 Lester Rd., Park Forest, was charged with possession of a firearm while his FOID card was revoked, following a disturbance January 3 in the 100 block of Lester Road, police said. Hankins was also taken into custody on an arrest warrant charging violating of a no contact and no stalking order of protection from the Chicago Police, according to a report.

On January 6, police responded to a report of three men having broken into a vacant residence in the 400 block of Tamarack Street. No suspects were taken into custody.

An air-conditioning unit, water heater and plumbing fixtures were stolen from a vacant residence in the 400 block of Rutledge Street on January 7, police said.

A Park Forest resident living in the 400 block of Todd Street reported her garage being broken into sometime between January 8 and January 9. A police report stated there were signs of forced entry into the garage but no items were taken.

Roger T. Murray, 23, 303 W. 35th St., Steger, was charged with possession of cannabis, driving on a suspended license and driving without taillights following a traffic stop January 9 at the intersection of Western Avenue and Chestnut Street, police said.

Jeffrey J. Crosby, 35, 142 Warwick St., Park Forest, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, obstructing identification and operation of an uninsured vehicle following a traffic accident January 10 in the 100 block of Westwood Drive, police said.

A Park Forest resident reported to police January 10 that someone had tried to file a late tax return and filed for Social Security benefits in her name. The IRS and Social Security Administration are investigating the fraud reports, according to police.

A residence in the 300 block of Sauk Trail was reported broken into on January 11. According to police, a door was pried open and was discovered by the owner when she returned home. The owner is working with police to determine whether anything was stolen.

Mark Dwane Doss, 43, 11 Apache St., Park Forest, was charged with felony driving on a revoked license and no light for rear license plate following a traffic stop January 11 at the corner of Western Avenue and Hemlock Street, police said.
