Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Police are still investigating a motorcycle accident from August 27 at the intersection of 26th Street and Allegheny Street when officers were devised of a subject carrying a limp body from the scene. Police interviewed the injured victim at an area hospital. Police say the motorcycle was reported stolen out of Chicago on August 25.

Lacrish N. Cotharn, 39, 247 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, was arrested on August 27 and charged with driving while license was suspended and operation of a motor vehicle without insurance when police responded to a business in the first block of South Orchard Drive to investigate a report of fraud.

A young juvenile told police on August 27 that he found a counterfeit $100 bill on the ground in his neighborhood. The recovered bill was retained as evidence and forwarded to the Secret Service. There were no arrests.

A “Nasty” brand bicycle was reported stolen from a bike rack at Mohawk School, 301 Mohawk Street, on August 27. The bicycle had been secured to the bike rack. Police say the locking fixture had been cut.

A Mongoose bicycle was reported stolen from outside a business in the 400 block of Sauk Trail on August 27. The bicycle had not been secured.

An iPhone reported stolen from a student at Rich East High School on August 28 was found August 29 at a residence on Illinois Street using a locator application, according to police. Police say the matter is being handled internally by the school and no charges were filed.

Two juveniles were arrested on August 28 and processed on charges of reckless conduct and disorderly conduct when officers working at Rich East High School were radioed to respond to the library in reference to a report of a disturbance.

The front picture window of a residence in the 300 block of Ash Street was reported shattered on August 29.

Two windows of a residence in the 300 block of Miami Street were reported shattered on August 29.

Michael Jones, 48, 23433 Western Ave. Apt. A2, Park Forest, was arrested on August 29 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Juniper Street at 1:33 AM to investigate a report of a man stabbed in the neck. Responding officers discovered the victim with a laceration to his neck and chest. Police say the victim was stabbed by a small pocket knife. The victim was treated by Park Forest paramedics and then transported to an area hospital for further treatment.

A resident told police on August 30 that, after reviewing her bank account, she observed a charge from Cricket Wireless in the amount of $41.17. The resident said she never opened a Cricket Wireless account.

A Sony television and an HP computer were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Forest Boulevard on August 30 when police responded to investigate a residential burglary.

A central air-conditioning unit was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on August 30.

Police responded to the 200 block of Allegheny Street to investigate a report of domestic battery on August 31. Police have suspect information and are investigating.

A bottle of vodka valued at $19.99 was reported stolen from a business in the first block of Main Street on August 31.

A PlayStation 3 game system valued at $300 and a Vizio television valued at $400 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on August 31.

Vernell E. Bronson, 18, 6011 Elizabeth St., Chicago, was arrested on September 1 and charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of retail theft that had just occurred, according to police.

A juvenile was arrested on September 1 and processed on a charge of underage consumption of alcohol when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Indianwood Boulevard to investigate a report of subjects refusing to leave a property.

A window of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Somonauk Street was reported shattered on September 1.

Police say $82 cash, two personal checks, and medical insurance cards were stolen from a purse of a woman attending a garage sale in the 400 block of North Orchard Drive on September 1.

A BMX bicycle and a Huffy BMX bicycle were reported stolen from the backyard of a residence in the first block of Leims Road on September 2.

A black Mongoose bicycle and a purple, black, and white Mongoose bicycle were reported stolen from an unattached garage in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on September 2.

Breon D. Glass, 18, 209 Kentucky St., Park Forest, was arrested on September 2 and charged with resisting a peace officer, criminal damage to property, and criminal trespass to residence when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Kentucky Street in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.

Police say a window of a residence in the 200 block of Birch Street was shattered by a rock on September 2.

Justyn D. Britton, 17, 106 Lester St., Park Forest, was arrested on September 2 and charged as an adult with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Wildwood Drive to investigate a report of a suspicious person. Britton was also charged with unlawful possession of firearm ammunition and issued a parking citation, according to police.

Police say approximately $10 in loose change was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Watseka Street on September 3. Police observed no signs of forced entry.

A juvenile was arrested on September 3 and processed on charges of trespass to motor vehicle and underage consumption of alcohol when police responded to the first block of Leims Road to investigate a report of a vehicle taken without permission.

Steven H. Comer, 44, 206 Monee Rd., Park Forest, was arrested on September 3 and charged with felony domestic related aggravated battery when an officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a report of domestic battery.

A charcoal grill and two yard tools were reported stolen from the yard of a residence in the 3400 block of Western Avenue on September 4.

An Apple iPad valued at $450 was reported stolen from Mohawk School, 301 Mohawk Street, on September 4.
