Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is the policy of eNews Park Forest to not remove items in the public record from publication. A basement window of a residence in the first block of Leims Road was reported shattered on September 11.

A Sony Bravia television valued at $1500 and an Xbox 360 game system valued at $199.99 were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Marquette Street. Police were dispatched to investigate a report of a residential burglary.

The windshield and rear window of a vehicle parked in the first block of Dunlap Road were reported shattered by bricks on September 11. Police have suspect information and are investigating.

Michael Lee Tucker, 44, 237 Blackhawk Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on September 14 and charged with felony failure to register as a sex offender after police conducted an investigation that began in mid-August when police received an anonymous tip that Tucker was living in Park Forest.

Suede D. Rogers, 20, 4709 Hickory Creek Dr. Apt. 1, University Park; and Keven W. Thompson, 20, 5104 Thomas Dr., Richton Park, were arrested on September 12 and charged with criminal trespass to a residence when police responded to Sauk Court to investigate a report of several subjects who had entered a vacant residence, according to police. Christopher D. Hamilton, 20, 22515 Ridgeway Ave., Richton Park, was also arrested and charged with criminal trespass to a residence as well as possession of cannabis.

Susan C. Winfield, 30, 177 E. Sycamore Dr. Apt. 512, Park Forest, was arrested on September 12 and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property when police were dispatched to the 100 block of East Sycamore Drive to investigate a domestic battery complaint.

A juvenile was arrested on September 12 and processed on charges of theft from a person and criminal damage to property. An officer working in the area of Rich East High School while school was being released was informed by a parent and a student that a cell phone had just been stolen. Police recovered the cell phone.

A teenager was arrested on September 12 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Indianwood Boulevard to investigate a report of battery.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Minocqua Street on September 12 to investigate a report of criminal trespass to vehicle. A resident reported that a subject riding a bicycle reached inside the open window of an unlocked vehicle. Nothing was reported stolen and the subject got away.

An HP laptop computer and other electronic equipment valued at $700 were reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Choate Road on September 13. Police responded to investigate a residential burglary.

Police say 12 to 15 inches of copper piping were stolen from an external air-conditioning unit on September 13. The theft occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Lester Road.

Police say six rental payments with the total balance of $3071 were reported stolen from a dropbox in the first block of Fir Street on September 13.

A window of a patio door of a residence in the 100 block of Walnut Street was reported shattered on September 14.

Police say a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of University Park on September 12 was located in a parking lot at Orchard Drive and Main Street on September 14. Police contacted the University Park Police Department.

Tonya T. Short, 42, 451 W. 16th Pl., Chicago Heights, was arrested on September 14 and charged with driving while license was suspended and issued traffic citations charging illegal transportation of alcohol and no rear registration light. An officer on patrol at the intersection of Sauk Trail and Western Avenue observed that the vehicle Short was driving northbound on Western Avenue had no rear registration plate light, according to police. Short was also given a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis.

A resident told police on September 14 that he had been advised by a credit management company that he had an outstanding balance of $1270.78 on a Comcast account that he had never opened. The resident told police that, in fact, he never lived at the address on the bill. Police are investigating.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard on September 15 to investigate a report of domestic battery. Police have suspect information and are investigating.

James O. Johnson, 29, 251 Beacon Blvd., Chicago Heights, was arrested on September 15 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street to investigate a report of domestic battery.

A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Miami Street on September 15.

Christopher A. Jones, 26, 8223 S. Carpenter St., Chicago, was arrested on September 16 and charged with theft of services, criminal trespass to a residence, and disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Illinois Street to investigate a report of theft of services from a taxi cab.

An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on September 16 to investigate a burglary incident. Police say four Von Maxx X-11 chrome rims with tires valued at $3000 total were reported stolen from a detached garage of a residence in the 400 block of Sherman Street.

A cell phone was reported stolen from an unsecured bag that had been placed on the sidelines of a soccer field at Rich East High School on September 17.

Michael S. Coleman Jr., 33, 7319 S. Rockwell Ave., Chicago, was arrested on September 17 and charged with driving while license was suspended and possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Juniper Street to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Police say a couple and their three-year-old child were confronted by an armed suspect in the first block of McCarthy Road at approximately 11 PM on September 17. The suspect reportedly said to the couple, who were just returning home, "Y’all know what it is, break yourself." The couple both knew that this meant for them to give up whatever money they had. Approximately $180 was stolen from the couple who then ran off and entered their residence. Police say there were two other subjects with the offender. Detectives are investigating.
